Bhaji (CS Sites)

Bhaji (Barnardo's Headless Accessible Jamstack Installer) is a template designed to deliver fast and lightweight websites, optimized for users with lower-powered devices or limited data plans, as well as to ensure accessibility for individuals with disabilities.

All websites are developed in accordance with Barnardo's brand and website design system

You will be provided with the access details for your user account, along with a link to the Content Management System (CMS) of your website.

Understanding the CMS

The primary panel will provide all the necessary functionality to update your website:

  • Save: To publish or discard any changes made.
  • Live Site Preview: To preview the site as it will appear live.
  • Dashboard: A summary of recent activities on the site.
  • Inbox: For administrators only.
  • Pages (options may vary depending on the site):
    • Pages: Content pages.
    • Children and Family Centres: Content related to each children and family centre.
  • Site Configuration: Generally, this section does not require changes; however, Event Types and Announcements are stored here.
  • Activities by Centre: To add and modify activities for each centre. Centre information are also kept here.

Create or edit a page

Create page

Go to the Pages section

On the top right side, click on the Add button, followed by Add page

You will need to enter Title, and add an optional hero image.

Modifying page

Go to the Pages section

Find the page, and click on it.

Saving/publishing content

Click on the Save button at the top right side.

You are given options to de-select anything you don’t want to publish.

If you want to discard any changes, you can also do it from this screen by clicking on the 3 dots, followed by Discard changes.

After saving, the content will be available on the website in minutes.

Create or modifying events and locations

  • Create new or modify event types
  • Create new or modify locations
  • Create new or modify events/activities

Details on how to change this will be on the Event management page.

Create or modifying announcements

  • Go to the Site Configuration section.
  • Select Announcements
  • Click on the existing Announcements to edit or click on Add Announcements button at the bottom of the page
  • Fill in the Description, the time it will expire (or removed from the site) and where you want to show it (Affects). 
  • To remove an Announcement, click on the corresponding 6 dots and click on Delete.
  • Click Save to publish your changes

Note: If no content is updated on the site, the Announcement will remain on the site until the next refresh (daily at 3am)
