Event management

Create new or modify event types

Go to the Site Configuration section.

  • Select Event Types
  • Click on the existing Event type to edit or click on Add Entry button at the bottom of the page or click on the Event type you want to modify
  • Enter/update the details
  • Click Save to publish your changes

Note: the Event Types needs to be manually placed in alphabetical order

Create new or modify locations

Go to the Activities by centre section

Add a new location

  • Click on the folder to add the new centre
  • Click on Add button, then Add Centre option

  • Click on the new location box and fill in all the details
  • Ensure the Google map links are correct
  • Click Save to publish your changes

NOTE: You will need to rename item once it is published (contact the websiteteam@barnardos.org.uk)

You will need to create a corresponding page for new location

  • Go to the Page section
  • Select the Children and Family centres folder
  • Select the distinct
  • Click Clone, from the 6 dots of an existing location page (so all pages are uniform)
  • Open the copied page
  • Change the Title
  • Edit the Announcement snippet, and change to the new location
  • Edit the Family Centre snippet, and change to the new location
  • Click Save to publish your changes

Modify an existing location

  • Click on corresponding location folder
  • Click on the corresponding centre box
  • Modify the changes
  • Click Save to publish your changes

Create new or modify activity/event

  • Click on corresponding location folder
  • Click on the corresponding centre box
  • Click on the Add Activity button to create a new activity or click on the corresponding box to modify
  • Click Save to publish your changes
