Go to https://cms.barnardos.org.uk
To create a new page or to edit an existing one, click the Groups tab in the top menu bar.
Then choose which site you want to add a page to (for the content team this will usually be main site).
In the operations column (right-hand side of screen) click Nodes for the site you’ve chosen.
To edit a page, scroll down the list of pages to the one you want to edit (you can filter the page list by published/unpublished or by content type to find it more quickly) and click edit node. The search function works quite well on the general content page - just put in one of the words of the title of the page you’re looking for and it’ll give you an instant list of all titles including that word. There’s no search box if you’re on your group page, but you can use the general content search and filter by group.
To create a new page, click the Create node button above the list of pages.
On the Create node screen, click on the type of page you want to create (according to whether creating a standard page, a case study, a people page, etc.).
NB the policy page type is only for Barnardo’s intranet policies such as Adoption leave and pay policy. Any policy-type publications for the website such as policy and practice briefings e.g. Better support for care leavers or policy and research publications e.g. Lifeskills substance misuse prevention programmes: Evaluation of Implementation and outcomes in the UK - Full report should be created as standard pages. See publication page, below. we still need to rethink/revise how publications are stored, surfaced, listed, etc. - as drupal pages with downloads? as floating PDFs in some sort of filterable bucket list? and factor in those that need payment (currently only available in policy page type)
NB if creating a page that replaces a page on the old Barnardo’s site, and if you’re publishing it immediately, you have to set up a redirect from the old page to the new. See Redirects.
